Argus C3 (1939)
In the year 1939, Argus unveiled the remarkable Argus C3 rangefinder camera, a modest upgrade from its predecessor, the Argus C2. Notably, the Argus C3 incorporated flash sync sockets on its side, enhancing its functionality. Unexpectedly, this particular model would go on to become Argus's phenomenal triumph, remaining in production until 1966 with minimal alterations.

The Argus C3, a beloved camera of its time, played a significant role in capturing historical moments through the lenses of various individuals. Tony Vaccaro, a soldier and photojournalist during World War II, relied heavily on the Argus C3, even developing his images within the soldiers' helmets. Duane Michals experimented with double exposures using the C3, showcasing its creative potential. Helen K. Garber's father, Alex Kolikow, imparted his photography skills using his cherished Argus C3. Notably, a notable C3 camera used by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter is now exhibited at the esteemed Jimmy Carter Library and Museum in Atlanta.
-It has been taken care and clean often and also had been kept in a stable climate chamber for storage, no repair had been required on this camera and also the lens was put through a deep cleanse.
