Vivitar 420/SL +(zoom lens)
In 1974, Vivitar introduced the 420/SL, an SLR camera compatible with 42mm screw lenses. It served as a more affordable option compared to the Vivitar 450/SLD, albeit lacking the spot-metering feature. Interestingly, the camera was manufactured by Cosina, potentially with inspiration from the Hi-Lite 402 model.
To activate stop-down metering, photographers would half-press the shutter release and make necessary adjustments until the needle, located at the edge of the viewfinder, aligned within a small bracket. The viewfinder's brightness could be restored to maximum by pressing the aperture re-open button situated on the camera body's front. Notably, the 420/SL boasted a battery-check lamp and a locking collar around the shutter release, distinguishing it from the otherwise similar Vivitar 400/SL model.
-It has been taken care and clean often and also had been kept in a stable climate chamber for storage, no repair had been required on this camera and also the lens was put through a deep cleanse.
